Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev won his first championship for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has experienced a torrid season, managing just a single victory at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in specific - caused him exiting of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought competitive victory over Frenchman Moutet.
It is his maiden trophy since the Italian tournament and first on a hard court from March of 2023.
Victory also indicates he has secured twenty-one victories at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a title is particularly special," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, featuring in that event in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive play style and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had led observers to doubt if his ability to compete at the top level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, striving to advance forward and compete positively, supported by an improved serving game.
He fought back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players traded service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his first professional title, took control to force a final set.
Moutet rescued four initial break points in a tight final set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured the title with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman unable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
